The board of PriceRunner has elected Mikael Lindahl as new CEO of the company. Lindahl has worked at PriceRunner for five years and was previously the Head of Growth. He officially started his new role yesterday on November 1st. In conjunction with todays’ news, it has also been made public that Klarna has entered into an agreement to acquire PriceRunner.

Mikael Lindahl is 34 years old and has, in addition to a number of positions within PriceRunner, previously been the CEO of streaming company Film2home, held several roles at Avanza and NS Intressenter and served on the board of Nordic Nest. Lindahl is the deputy chairman of Swedish e-commerce trade organisation Hållbar E-Handel and serves on the board of Froda and PS Auction.

PriceRunner currently operates in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom. The operations in Norway was obtained through an acquisition of Norwegian comparison shopping service Prisguiden in October 2021. PriceRunners’ plan is to expand into additional countries together with Klarna.

Nicklas Storåkers steps down as CEO after obtaining the role in 2016. He will remain in an advisory role for the coming six months.
